Halfway point!

I am now 20 weeks pregnant! Or, if you want more detailed numbers, here's what I got off of i-am-pregnant.com :

There are 139 days until your due date on August 20, 2009.
You are 141 days pregnant.
You are 4.6 months pregnant.
You are in your 5th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: November 13, 2008 to February 11, 2009. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: February 12, 2009 to May 27, 2009. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: May 28, 2009 to August 20, 2009. (28 - 40 weeks)

Beanie is as big as a can of red bull! Which is incredible to think about. I feel her/him kicking every day now, and sometimes I feel a stretch or a roll, too. If Beanie is any bit as active as she/he was at my 10 week ultrasound, Beanie will be quite the little acrobat!

I can't WAIT to have my next ultrasound, so I can finally figure out if this little bean will be peeing standing up, or sitting down. I'm sick of saying "he/she, or her/his, or IT" I want to be able to say either HE or SHE with confidence!

Some people may accuse me of being controlling because I want to find out the baby's gender (cough... Rachel.. cough), but what I think is that I live in the day and age where we have these cool little machines that lets us see inside ourselves to look at our babies. Why not take advantage of that? Why live like I was born in 1886?

So, by next Monday at 7:00 pm, I should know. Huzzah!

  1. haha I would be going crazy, I think you should definitely find out!

I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm ready to have kids... I'm so addicted to coffee it's not even funny! But it sounds like you've been a trooper about it so maybe I can be, too :)

Congrats on being at the half-way point!! I'm so excited for you!!

  2. I agree with you about finding out. I always did.....we have the technology, why not use it? And I always hated saying him/her, or it. I totally would say to find out, it doesn't take anything away from the experience. BTW, you will let us know when you know, right?

  3. Sarah, new girl, don't worry. Most of us get really *sick* if we drink coffee. So, it's not all that hard to stop, even when we're the kind of people who don't even wake up until we've had the second cup.

My Sarah knows that my nephew figured out I was pregnant by simply offering me a cuppa joe. When I refused, he asked, "And WHEN is this one due?" The cat was out of the bag.

Congrats on being half-way there, Sarah-Say. Beanie will be here before you know it.

    WV: tions.

Doesn't that look like half the word is missing? capTIONS, or naTIONS or affecTIONS.... anything but tions all by its lonesome.
